How product disclaimers get so big
I’ve just been updating ‘The Rules’ page for my portfolio experiment. Every time I think about it I find myself adding another paragraph about something that needs to be clarified- and this is a pretty straightforward experiment.
I’m starting to understand how disclaimers and PDS documents get so big, with all the things they must explain and possible contingencies and legal ramifications they must cover. I’m also beginning to have an inkling of why these documents are so important – I am a classic ‘yeah, yeah, give me the product already’ consumer if there ever was one – but as they say, the devil is in the details. Food for thought.
